What is revival?
And how do we know when it has come?
WHERE HAS GOD VISITED?
Perhaps the easiest way to understand revival is by studying the places where God has moved in modern history.
One indisputable location of a true revival is the Hebrides islands of Scotland. As you can see below, the Hebrides are remote, sparsely populated, and by worldly standards not a seat of power or influence. And yet, these islands are a place where it was described as “God stepping down from Heaven.” Farmers spontaneously got upon their knees to worship as the Presence of the Lord overwhelmed small islands. A move or worship, holiness, and intercession spread throughout the region. Even the local jails had to close due to the mass awakening of people to the Lord!
