A desire fulfilled is a tree of life.

Proverbs 13:12

The last chapters of the book of Joshua describe the allotment of the Promised Land. Here's the scene: Israel has vanquished 31 Amorite kings. The descendants of each tribe of Israel and the Levite priests receive their portion of the land to dwell in. The people recover the bones of Joseph from Egypt to rest in the Promised Land! (Joshua 24:32) It was time to possess the promise. 

For the people of Israel, this was a glorious and serious day — the fulfillment of generational desires and promises. The day was so holy that Joshua made a special covenant with God.

And Joshua recorded these things in the Book of the Law of God. Then he took a large stone and set it up there under the oak near the holy place of the Lord.

Joshua 24:26

Israel was now entering into a new spiritual season: the season of stewarding God's promises.
