How I Structure & Write a Sermon

My Sermon Outline

While I don’t always use this outline, I’ve found it’s a good place to start in preparing sermons for worship services. It’s an evolving outline that has changed and developed over 15 years of creativity. This outline is something I used once I know what I am preaching on, which is a process of discovery, prayer, and counsel.

Here is the basic outline:

• Subject

• Scripture

• Steps

• Spirit
