Jesus came that we might have an abundant life. But what does that mean? Can that be true any time? What about tough times like today? As you will see, this promise isn’t about what you possess today, it’s about where God can take you when He possesses you.

On Feeling Behind

I find that the the word “abundant” typically does not describe the emotion people feel when the topic of finances come up. In fact, I think the prevalent feeling is a feeling of being behind. People are behind on bills. They feel behind on planning for education or retirement spending. People feel that they should have worked harder, saved more, and invested smarter. It’s easy to feel behind… especially when the algorithm keeps showing you pictures of distant connections on vacation in Mykonos and Cabo while you tiredly scroll on your phone after a monotonous day’s work. What’s in your wallet? Not what you hoped.
